Dollar ends even versus rupee

KARACHI: The dollar closed flat in value against the rupee in the interbank market, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 101.60 for buying, with no change in value it closed at Rs 101.60 for buying and Rs 101.80 for selling. The European currency remained minus in value versus the rupee as it opened the day’s trading at Rs 114.96 for buying and after correction closed at Rs 114.60 for buying and closed at Rs 114.83 for selling. The British currency closed plus against the local currency as it began the day’s trading at Rs 155.99 for buying, with 23 paisas gain closed at Rs 156.22 for buying and Rs 156.53 for selling.

Open market: The dollar remained plus against the rupee, dealers said. It initiated the trading at Rs 102.60 for buying, closed at Rs 102.65 for buying with 05 paisas change and closed at Rs 102.90 for selling. The euro remained plus against the local currency as it opened the day’s trading at Rs 115.50 for buying and closed at Rs 115.75 for buying after 25 paisas change and closed at Rs 116 for selling. The pound sterling remained plus versus rupee as it opened trading at Rs 157 for buying and closed with 75 pasias upward change in value for buying and closed at Rs 158 for selling.
