Balochistan Unrest: Five Civilians Dead, Four Militants Killed
QUETTA: At least five people were reported dead in restive remote areas of Balochistan on Friday.
According to Levies Force, three bodies of men were recovered in Shakh-Darreh near Chaman area of Qila Abdullah district.
“Levies force received information about three bodies. They reached the site and took into custody the corpses dumped in an open area,” spokesman said.
The bodies were shifted to nearby hospital’s morgue for identification. Levies force registered a case and started investigation, officials said.
In another incident, unidentified gunmen shot dead two persons near Dilsoz Karaiz area of the same district.
According to Levies sources, the victims could not be identified, adding that the armed assailants managed to flee from the scene.
The bodies were shifted to nearby hospital.
On the other hand, security forces claimed to have killed four alleged terrorists in Qila Abdullah in Quetta on Friday.
On tip-off, the security forces raided a hideout in Qila Abdullah and a shootout took place between them and the alleged terrorists holed up in the hideout.
Four terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire.
The security forces also claimed to have seized a huge cache of ammunition and explosives from the hideout.
