Militants Killed Three, including two Women, Near Pak-Afghan Border

QUETTA: Three people including two women were killed by militants near the Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan's Zhob District on Thursday morning.

Indiscriminate fire by the assailants at a vehicle killed three people to include two women in Zhob's Qamaruddin Karez area, Levies sources told Media.

The travellers was going from Sambaza to Gul Kach when they were fired upon near the border.

The militants escaped the scene after the event,

Levies personnel reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. The motive behind the incident could not be ascertained.

The casualties were rushed to Civil Hospital Zhob for a postmortem.

Zhob is considered to be one of the sensitive districts of Balochistan since it borders with the country's volatile tribal belt. It is also considered to be a transit point for militants sneaking from neighbouring Afghanistan and the tribal belt of Pakistan.
