Nawaz Refuses to Meet Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was suppose to host a lunch in the honor of former President, Asif Ali Zardari to have an important one-on-one meeting at the PM House on wedensday to which the PM decline, media reported.

It was a very important meeting since it is taking place in the backdrop of controversial address by the former President against security forces of the country.

While talking to media, PM said that remarks of Former President regarding Pakistan Army are highly inappropriate.“At a time when our armed forces are engaged in war against terrorism, it is highly inappropriate for Mr Zardari’s to issue such statements,” Nawaz Sharif said.

Earlier, Zardari said the military generals’ tenures were no longer than a few years but political parties like the PPP “would last forever”.
