EXCHANGE OF DELEGATIONS HELP PRESENT PAKISTAN’S REAL IMAGE ABROAD: AYAZ SADIQ
Islamabad:Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressing the need to exchange Parliamentry delegations said it had helped present Pakistan’s real image and remove mispreceptions across the globe. Addressing a dinner reception as chief guest hosted by the Pak-Korea Friendship Society the speaker highlighed importance of the exchange of Parliamentary, cultural and business delegations.He said the National Assembly had formed fifty (50) Parliamentary Friendship Groups for enhancing cooperation with other countries by removing misperceptions about Pakistan due to some unfortunate incidents. Ayaz Sadiq said a number of foreign Parliamentary delegations including eight Speakers of different Parliaments including South Korea, Germany and Sweden had visited Pakistan which helped enhanceParliament to Parliament and people to People contact with the world. Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of the republic of Koea Dr. Song Jong-hwan said that trade and economic cooperartion between the two countries was improving and it would further strengthen with the signing of Pak-korea Free TradeAgreement.
The Ambassador said a number of largest Korean companies like Dawoo and SAMBU were working on different projects including hydel Power Projects and Lowari tunnel beside others.
The Ambassador also lauded the stance of Pakistani government against the test of Hydrogen Bomb by the North Korea. President of Pak-Korea Friendship Society Sajjad A.Cheema in his remark said that $500 million Framework Agreementbetween Pakistan and South Korea would help further expand their commercial relations and was a step forward to tap their potential for bilateral trade
