DG Intelligence Bureau Nawaz Sharif's Favorite | Gets Two Years Extension AGAIN
ISLAMABAD: The Director General Intelligence Bureau Aftab Sultan has been given another two years extension in his service, endorsed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday.
Sultan was set to retire in April. This is the second time that his term of service has been extended.
“The prime minister has extended the contract of DG IB Aftab Sultan for two years," said a statement by the PM Office.
Sultan took was appointed as DG IB in Oct 2011, taking over the key post as the head of the country’s top civilian intelligence agency after the retirement of Additional IG Javed Noor. Sultan previously served as the Additional IG Welfare and Finance in Punjab.
