Omar Abdullah Lashes out at Modi for Weighing Kashmir Issue in Monies
SRINAGAR: The former chief minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for offering money for Jammu and Kashmir resolve.
In an attempt to woo the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a financial package worth Rs 80,000 crore for the state. He also added that this is not the final package and is just the beginning.
"Rs 80,000 crore is just the beginning of the assistance. we will give more assistance once the work is delivered. I wish that this package is utilised to develop a new strong Kashmir," he said.
Lashing out at the 80,000 crore rupee package announced former chief minister Omar Abdullah slammed the former saying he had repeated his mistake of trying to solve the 'Kashmir issue' with money.

On the eve of Modi's visit, he also said that the state government was using the official machinery for tomorrow's rally, which was "shameless".
"Colleagues tell me that their JK police guard has been drastically scaled down & the personnel ordered to participate in the 7th Nov rally (of the Prime Minister)," Omar tweeted.
In another tweet, Omar said it was "shameless" on part of the government to use state apparatus for Modi's rally.
"Just saw State Govt employees in an AMBULANCE tying up banners welcoming the PM on behalf of the state Health Minister. #Shameless," he added.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 450 Mega Watt Baglihar Hydro Electric Power Project Stage-II at Ramban in Jammu. He will also lay the foundation stone for four-laning of Udhampur-Ramban and Ramban-Banihal section of National Highway 44 at Chanderkote Ramban and address a gathering there.
