President Mamnoon Considers Kashmir as an Unfinished Agenda
Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday said Pakistan considers Kashmir as an unfinished agenda of the partition of the subcontinent and assured support for the Kashmiri people.
The President said this while talking to a delegation of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) leaders which called on him and reiterated that Islamabad would continue to adhere to the principled stand of the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people which is the basis of its foreign policy'.
He asserted that Kashmir is a 'Muslim majority' area and the efforts underway for turning the majority into a minority there would 'never be successful'.
He also condemned the attack on the terrorist attack on the airbase in Pathankot and maintained that Pakistan is against all kind of terrorism.
During the meeting, Pakistan Minister for Kashmir Affairs Barjees Tahir said the transparent and impartial plebiscite is the only way for resolution of Kashmir dispute.
He said Pakistan wants to resolve this issue with India through dialogue, the report quoted Barjees as saying.
