PTI's Divide Brings Political Demise to the Party - Kirmani
HARIPUR: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani on Friday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) split into two factions has brought it to its political demise.
“PTI has divided into two groups due to wrong policies of its leadership as the educated group had revolted against the land mafia in the party,” he made the remarks while addressing a rally. The result of NA-19 by-election on Sunday would prove to be the last nail in its coffin, he added.
The victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Baber Nawaz Khan would be celebrated by the people on the same venue on August 16 to thank the Almighty for putting the country into right hands, Dr Kirmani said.
The people of Haripur, he said, had pledged to him to inflict heavy defeat on the PTI’s candidate so that no one in the future would dare to contest on that party’s ticket, adding that they had already proved that their district was a bastion of PML-N. app
Earlier, addressing a rally in Pannian, he felicitated the nation for celebrating the 69th Independence Day. “Pakistan Muslim League has won freedom under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the same party is now working day and night for the progress and prosperity of the country.”
Appreciating the overwhelmed crowd, he recalled that the Quaid-e-Azam had also trusted the youth, urging the people to vote for the young Baber Nawaz, who would deliver on his promises.
The zeal of the youth in the area favouring the PML-N candidate had already sealed the fate of Dr Aamir Zaman of the PTI, he added.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has awarded party ticket to Baber Nawaz, who being young had the potential to change the destiny of the constituency.
Dr Kirmani also said that the PTI government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa had not lived up to its election pledges and it had miserably failed to initiate any project of clean drinking water and establish any educational institute or health facilities.
