Pakistan Army has cleared Khyber Agency’s Bara district of terrorists and handed it over civil administration, the military’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations said on Tuesday.

“Bara Area, Khyber Agency handed back to civil administration after clearance, for return of traders and opening of bazaar,” DG ISPR Asim Bajwa said in a statement.

In March 2015, the FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) had decided to tentatively send back families displaced from 29 villages of North Waziristan and Bara, Khyber Agency.

The announcement by the ISPR came after majority of the displaced people have returned to their native land.
