Large Weapons Cache Recovered from Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Police and Intelligence agencies recovered a large cache of weapons during a joint search operations in Peshawar and adjoining areas, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.

According to  statement, the raids were conducted at godowns located at GT road and Kohat road of areas Peshawar.

Recovered arms were presented in front of media in Peshawar and include over a thousand M4 and M6 rifles, telescopes and a large numbers of bullets, officials said.

The official, on condition of anonymity, said the arms were 'foreign made.'

The weapon ware-houses were owned by different arm-dealers who allegedly provided weapons to banned outfit involved in several militant attacks. Arrests were also made during the raids.
