Gulf Air Operative at Multan International Airport
MULTAN: Bahrain’s principal flag carrier Gulf Air is set to to start its operations at the Multan International Airport (MIAP) from December 14, 2015.
“Initially, Gulf Air would operate three weekly flights,” an official source of the Civil Aviation Authority said on Friday.
Gulf Air would become the seventh international airline to start operations at MIAP. PIA, Shaheen Air International, Fly Dubai, Airblue, Qatar Airways and Emirates already conduct operations in Multan.
The airline currently operates scheduled services to 42 destinations in 23 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, the source informed. Pegasus Airline, the second airline from Turkey, is also expected to begin its operations from Multan soon, added the source. Keeping the passenger load in view, some airlines have reduced their flights from Multan, the source said. “Pegasus is also likely to operate 3 weekly flights.”
