LAHORE: Earlier in the week unidentified men kidnapped a retired army officer’s son and his friend in Lahore.

Waqas Ahmed, son of Major (retd) Manzoor, left his house in Chuhng area to visit his friend Umair Saeed. He was accompanied by his six-year-old son Umer Waqas.

Ahmed’s family became concerned after they tried reaching him on his phone hours after he left the house. However, his phone was switched off. Umer, however, managed to reach home safely.

Ahmed’s family lodged an FIR against unidentified kidnappers at the Chuhng police station, according to reports.

“Two persons were kidnapped from Canal society. The family of ex-an army officer brought this matter into their knowledge two days later,”
