Four Human Traffickers Arrested in Punjab
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested as many as four people from various parts of Punjab involved in human trafficking, a statement said.
The human smugglers were arrested in separate raids in Sheikhupura, Lahore and Islamabad.
The arrested have been identified as Farhan Khushnood, Safdar and Sarwar.
The FIA raids are part of a countrywide crackdown against human traffickers on the special instruction of Federal Interior Ministry Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Apart from the aspect of slavery, the recent threat of Daesh (IS- Islamic State) and people moving from countries to join the group in Syria and Iraq has brought government's consensus to curb the menace with efforts aggrandized.
