Lady Health Worker Injured in Dog Attack

DERA GHAZI KHAN: A lady health worker was attacked by a pack of dogs and injured on Thursday in neighbourhood Jatwala of Taunsa, the Taunsa City police said.

Nasreen Bibi said a family unleashed the pack of dogs on her during her polio vaccination-related duty.

She is being treated at the Tanusa Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for dog bites on her arms and legs while the city police registered a case against Taj Bibi, Nadia Bibi and Shahzad for unleashing dogs on Nasreen.

Police said some residents of the neighbourhood had refused to get their children vaccinated and asked the polio worker not to visit them.

On Thursday, when Nasreen visited the locality, the residents allegedly unleashed their dogs on her.
