Police kill five terrorists in Lahore
LAHORE: At least five alleged terrorists were killed in a joint action by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Police in Raiwand early on Wednesday.
According to details, police raided a house when militants opened fire at them. In a shootout which followed, five terrorists were killed.
Three of the five militants have been identified as Khan Waheed, Nasir Iqbal and Junaid Zahoor and they hail from Peshawar, Sharqpur and Abbottbad respectively.
Police also seized two Kalashnikovs, 10 hand grenades and eight time devices from the house where terrorists were killed.
Police said the militants killed in the shootout might be involved in Gulishan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore blast, which claimed over 70 lives on Sunday.
Police arrested 43 men which included 34 proclaimed offenders from Bahawalpur.
From Sialkot, 25 suspects were arrested.
