Indian Prisoner Kirpal Singh Dies in Lahore Jail
LAHORE: An Indian death row prisoner Kirpal Singh died at the Kot Lakhpat Jail on Monday, jail officials said.
Singh was involved in a bombing at Faisalabad Railway Station in 1991. He was sentenced to death by the court for spying and terrorism.
He was transferred to the hospital on Monday after his health suddenly deteriorated, jail officials said. He expired at the hospital.
His body has been sent to the police for postmortem.
In 2013, an Indian death row convict, Sarabjit Singh was attacked by two other inmates at the Kot Lakhpat Jail. He succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
