Pakistan, Iran to continue cooperation for shared prosperity Pervaiz Rashid
ISLAMABAD, Feb 11 (PV): Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid here on Wednesday said Pakistan and Iran will continue to work together for shared prosperity and regional peace. The minister was talking to mediamen here at a function arranged by Iranian Embassy. Iranian ambassador to Pakistan Alireza Haghighian hosted the reception at a local hotel to celebrate 36th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the National Day. The minister, who was chief guest at the reception, in his brief remarks said Iran has made great progress since its revolution, adding Pakistan and Iran share bonds of common history, culture and religion. He said both countries will continue their bilateral cooperation in the areas mutually beneficial to each other. The reception was attended by parliamentarians, politicians, diplomats and prominent citizens from various walks of life. On the occasion, national anthems of the two countries were played and the chief guest joined the Iranian ambassador in cutting a cake to celebrate the occasion.
