Mustafa Kanju on 15-day Judicial Remand in Murder Case
LAHORE: Mustafa Kanju and four have been taken on 15-day judicial remand granted by anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Friday, accused in Zain's murder case.
On April 1, former state minister for foreign affairs Siddique Kanju’s son Mustafa opened fire on a vehicle near Lahore’s Cavalry Ground area, killing 16-year-old Zain and leaving a pedestrian injured.
During Friday’s hearing, police authorities said they have completed the investigation, adding there is no need for the accused to be sent on physical remand again.
Earlier, the court had granted police eight-day physical remand of Mustafa and his accomplies who were also arrested by Lahore police following the firing incident.
After initial denials, the accused had admitted to ’accidentally’ killing Zain.
