Bail Granted to Youhanabad's Church Incident Women

LAHORE: The woman, during a riot of Church Incident in Youhanabad, accused of running her car over two people and injuring 12 was granted bail on Saturday, Media reported. 

Maryam Safdar, on assurance of cooeperation in the investigation and since nothing was there to her to the accusation, was granted bail today after being ordered to submit a total Rs100,000.

A day after the March 15 attacks on Lahore’s Christian community, riots broke out which Maryam was trying to escape. Maryam allegedly ran over 12 people of whom two died.

Maryam was arrested in the course to which she pleaeded that the case registered against her was based on malafide. She said nothing in particular had been attributed to her in the FIR and therefore she should be granted pre-arrest bail.
