Mercury Rising: Heat Wave to Return to Sindh in Sept

KARACHI: The met department on Thursday forecasted heat wave to return to Sindh starting from September Friday (18th) to Monday (21st), media reported.

In recent June, Karachi was struck with the mentioned calamity resulting in number of people to have lost their lives. A death toll of 4000 people were reported, unofficial figures suggest. 

Victims of the heatwave died of heat stroke, dehydration or other heat-related illnesses – with the elderly and poor the worst-affected population groups in Karachi and other cities of Sindh province.

The current forecast suggest people to stay indoors and avoid expose to sun. It has been ordained to take necessary actions as advised par previous heat wave.
