KARACHI: An unclear holiday announcement from the Sindh government on account of Urs of saint Abdullah Shah Ghazi has confused the school going children and their parents in Karachi.

All the schools working under Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) are closed today after administrator Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui announced a public holiday.

However, Director Schools Mansoob Siddiqui said as per the decision of steering committee, public and private schools of Karachi will remain open today (Wednesday).

Mansoob said holiday on the annual Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi was not included in the academic calendar, therefore, the provincial government has not made any announcement in this regard.
