Daesh's Leader for the Sindh Region Arrested

KARACHI: The Police on Sunday arrested an alleged commander and leader of a banned outfit namely; Umar Kathiwer for the Sindh Region.

According to police sources, Umar is the head of proscribed Islamic State (Daesh) in the Sindh Region and involved in the Safoora tragedy that killed 47 ismailies in cold blood.

Sources said that Umar Kathiwer was arrested upon the information provided by Safoora tragedy’s arrested suspect and mastermind Saad Aziz.

Umar’s was leading the organization in the region and had added duties included facilitating al-Qaeda terrorists belonging to Arab countries, sources added.

Umar Kathiwer’s wife has also been reported to be running IS’s women wing in Sindh.
