MQM Observes a 4-day token Hunger Strike in Karachi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Friday started observing four-day token hunger strike in Karachi, media reported.

The strike was announced against the court’s ban on telecast and publication of London-based MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s speeches.

MQM leaders say the 12-hour token strike will be observed from 11am to 11pm outside Karachi Press Club till Monday.

Today, MQM’s senior leaders, MNAs, MPAs and municipal representatives arrived at the press club and joined the hunger strike along with a large number of party supporters.
