5 members of 'Shiraz Comrade' Dead in an Encounter

KARACHI: A search operation by Police in Lyari Town last Monday night took lives of five alleged gang-war criminals belonging to the ‘Shiraz Comrade’, Media reported.

It has been reported that around 200 police officials were confronted and resisted by gang-war criminals belonging to the ‘Shiraz Comrade’ group during a targeted search operation in Lyari. Two policemen got bullet wound injury while fighting the enemy, leaving 5 members of the group dead.

The killed were involved in target killing, extortion, murdering police officials and kidnapping for ransom, according to SSP City Fida Hussain.

In the advent to rid the city of militancy and extremism to bring about peace, both police and Rangers have raided plenty of areas and have arrested thousands of suspects and criminals.
