Masses Await Kamal's Surprise Monday Package
KARACHI: Former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal and his group of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) dissidents has announced another press conference today (Monday), saying that they would present another surprise to the public.
Speaking to journalists here, former MQM leader Anees Qaimkhani said that they would hold an important press conference today and said it would be a surprise for the public.
An announcment / press conference is anticipated every Monday from Kamal House where usually an ex-member of another party pledges allegiance to their still 'No Name' group.
On Sunday as well, recently joined ex-member of MQM, Raza Haroon exclaimed a surprise for masses in Monday's press conference vide Kamal House.
Earlier this month, 44-year old Kamal and Qaimkhani, both former MQM loyals, returned to Karachi after a prolonged absence from the local political scene and announced that he was forming a new political party in a direct challenge to the MQM.
Since their return, several prominent leaders have announced that they are joining the yet-unnamed party.v Kamal and Qaimkhani had parted their ways with MQM.
“People are contacting us in large number and want to join our party,” Qaimkhani claimed.
To a question, he said he met PTI leader Imran Ismail at a party they were invited for.
“Our party will neither take part in any upcoming by-elections nor it will extend support to any candidate,” he said.
