Anees Advocate Leaves, Heavily 'Criticizing Altaf' to Joins Kamal's 'No Name' Party
Anees Advocate, former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Monday joined unnamed party formed by former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal, media reported.
Addressing a press conference, Anees, who was associated with MQM for 32 years, said that he was mentally prepared to part ways with MQM 3 years ago.
Critcising the MQM chief, he said that Altaf Hussain doesn’t deserve to remain a leader of ‘Muhajir community’, adding the London-based chief of MQM breached the trust of the community.
“You (Altaf) had rightly begun struggle against injustices,” he said, asking “why you retracted from the path of struggle.”
To a question, Anees Advocate said he would not in contact with Mustafa Kamal or Anees Qaimkhani before their March 3 press conference.
On the occasion, another party leader Anees Qaimkhani demanded of the government and other state institutions to forgive misdeeds of Karachi’s youth affiliated with MQM.
“We want you to spare them in the same manner as you did with children of FATA and Balochistan,” he said.
Mustafa Kamal welcomed Anees Advocate on joining his party.
