Though the interior minister did not disclose the detainee’s name, official sources and the media have been pointing towards a man named Moazzam Ali Khan. Chaudhry Nisar exchanged important details with British High Commissioner Philip Barton about arrest of Moazam Ali Khan.

Officials also revealed that the British top diplomat requested Pakistan to hand over this key accused with two others already accused; who were arrested in Pakistan.

Scotland Yard wants to investigate these arrested accused, Barton told Nisar Ali Khan and officials further revealed that this meeting was held in Islamabad.

Three more suspects detained by ATC

Three suspects thought to be involved in financing and providing shelter to target killers have been detained for 90 days by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi on Tuesday.

Rangers told ATC-3 that they had credible information against the suspects. Chughtai and Mujeeb have been given three months preventive detention for 90 days while Masroor’s papers are yet to be signed.

Chughtai, a Karachi businessman, is part of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), according to sources.
