HYDERABAD: A railway track in Hyderabad was blown away by an explosion on Monday morning, media reported.
According to the Bomb Disposal Squad, unidentified assailants attacked the track using 500 kilograms of explosive material. “The explosives were locally made,” it added.
The blast damaged around 1.5ft of the railway track in Hussainabad area and disrupted train services in the city. As a result of the incident, trains were stranded at the Hyderabad railway station.
Soon after the incident, police conducted a search operation in the area and confirmed that the blast did not lead to any causalities.
On February 12, at least 15 people were injured in a blast on a railway track near Thul town of Jacobabad.
